ΗΟΜΕ MEATS WORLD FAMOUS BURGERS!
WORLD FAMOUS BURGERS! Print E-mail

1 ½ kilo beef minced

1 medium onion

1 egg

3 slice smoked bacon

1 cup virgin olive oil

Half cup dried bread crumbs

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon paprika

Half teaspoon dried basil

Half teaspoon pepper

1 garlic clove, chopped

Some fresh rosemary chopped

Pinch of dried thyme


 

DIRECTIONS:

The night before grilling, in a blender, mix the onion and the bacon with a little of the olive oil.

Thoroughly mix in a bowl the minced meat, the bread crumbs, the egg, half the olive oil, the above onion and bacon mixture, the salt, the Worcestershire sauce, the paprika, the basil, and the pepper, until it is uniform.


Leave the mixture wrapped in cooking paper in the fridge overnight.

The next day (grilling day!) give the mixture one more mix with a wooden spoon and shape your burgers at a size a little bit bigger than your palm and about as thick as your palm.

In a bowl, mix the rest of the olive oil, the garlic, the rosemary, and the thyme.

Rub each burger, both sides before grilling.


Rub the grill with the remaining olive oil mixture, and place the burgers over hot natural charcoal briquettes.

Grill for 3 minutes, and then use a spatula and gently turn the burgers the other side.

Grill the other side for another 3 minutes.

Turn the burgers one more time, taking care to turn the burgers 90˚ to create the grilling marks. Grill for one minute each side.

If you like, before taking off the burgers you can place a slice of mozzarella cheese and tomato with some fresh basil.

Serve with baked potatoes.
